2012 Mayan Calendar signals end of the world

In case you haven’t heard, the 2012 Mayan Calendar is complete on December 21, 2012.   Does that mean the Mayans knew something thousands of years ago that most of us still do not believe just a few hundred days out?   Is it possible the end is near? Learn a bit more about the Mayan Calendar:
